The newest flexible packaging innovation to come from Innoflex Incorporated, EZ-Stand is a revolutionary pre-applied bottom gusset for easily producing doypack style stand-up pouches on a VFFS machine. EZ-Stand pre-gusseted roll stock functions very similar to the already proven and successful concept of Inno-Lok® pre-applied closure. EZ-Stand is made by utilizing an Inno-Lok® machine along with a universal applicator manufactured by the Hudson Sharp Machine Company and is a pre-applied bottom gusset on a roll that is able to run efficiently through a VFFS machine with only minor modifications to existing VFFS equipment. The key modification is a unique U-shaped bottom sealing jaw that creates the seals necessary to finish the package, providing VFFS processors with a bottom gusseted stand-up package they can provide to their customers at a fraction of the cost of pre-made pouches.
